Buckhead is the area where the fashionable live, but it is also the place to go to when you want to indulge in the sparkling nightlife scene (theatres, comedy clubs, bars, discos, live performances... you name it and you'll definitely find it here). Although Atlanta is not as crowded as the Big Apple or Chicago, however, is a vibrant city that continues to grow in its environment. Businesses and historical heartbeat in downtown Atlanta. High compact buildings alternate with old houses and some of the best museums in the city has to offer, which is not saying much. The best things in the city are the food, shopping and nightlife. As long as you keep this in mind, you will not be disappointed. So eat - max those cards and party hearty, because if you are looking for history or culture, you go home absent.

Atlanta has an excellent rail system called MARTA if it is within walking distance of the railway network. Otherwise a car is a necessity to reach any part of the city, including a railway station. Check with your hotel to see if there is a season 2 blocks from them.

In the center, there is an underground shopping mall which is a bit cheesy and touristy, and has an element of a safety issue at night, probably best avoided altogether. Note that this area is called "Five Points", not to be confused with "Little Five Points."
