Avianca is the major airline carrier in the country of Colombia. It was founded upon the merger of two major international airline carriers, Sociedad Colombo-Alemana de Transporte Aéreo and Servicio Aéreo Colombiano.

Cabin Amenities and Classes
International flights come in two different classes — International Tourist class and International Business class.
• International Tourist Class — different menus are designed for every flight. Two different menus are offered upon boarding. Individual on-board movies are available for both mid- and long-range flights aboard the Boeing 757 and 767. Reading materials and audio entertainment systems are also provided. Seats recline to a maximum of 125 degrees, or 6 inches.
• International Business Class — complimentary drinks and aperitif are available upon boarding. A selection of cheese, fruit, desserts, hot beverages, red wine or champagne is also available. Amenity kits courtesy of the Avianca are also provided for added travel comfort. Portable DVD players are provided exclusively for Business class passengers. Reading materials as well as audio materials are available. Seats recline to up to 155 degrees.
Baggage Policy
Carry-on baggage should have a maximum weight of 10 kilograms and maximum dimensions of 115 cm that will fit the overhead compartment. Any pointed objects such as stilettos, box cutters, knives, ice picks, metal scissors and similar objects are not allowed inside the carry-on baggage
Any baggage exceeding the allowed weight limit will be accepted as conditional baggage which means that it is subject to space availability inside the aircraft. Baggage for check-in that exceeds the limit of 22 kilograms will be charged with an additional fee that will depend on the length of your flight.
